Texas is the best high school track and field state in the country! This year's Team USA U20 Outdoor World Athletics Championship team is representative of that. There are nine individual qualifiers and possibly more relay legs possibly coming who have Texas high school root.
High schoolers, recent graduates, and collegians who are 20 years old and under competed for the national team this past weekend at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. The two top finishers in each event were qualifiers.
In addition, up to three additional athletes will be selected for the 4x100 and 4x400 relays and will compete in the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships to be held in Cali, Colombia, August 1-6, 2022.
Check out the table to see who qualified individually and in what events.
