Baylor graduate Trayvon Bromell made his way back to the world stage and on the medal podium at the 2022 World Athletics Championships.
Bromell endured a road from recovery that cost a lot. In the interview, Bromell shares his difficult decision to leave his coach and training camp and his journey through a tough achilles injury that not only hampered him physically, but also mentally and emotionally.
In Oregon, Bromell ran the one of the fastest times of the meet with his preliminary winning time of 9.89 to advance to the semi-final prior to the championship round.
He would be a part of the USA men's medal sweep following gold medalist Fred Kerley and silver medalist Marvin Bracy. It's the first time at the World Championships that feat has been accomplished to go along with the 1984 and 1991 Olympic Games accomplishments.
