September is "THE" month in Texas cross country in terms of the volume of meets, the high profile meets, and the times/performances that come along with the amount of competitions.

We have just completed four weeks of competition including the first weekend of September. That means most of the schools in the state including major players have run a 5K by now. There are still some teams who have yet to compete at 5K, but there is enough data to give a good picture of what is going on so far this season.
