Two time POW Poll winner Rowan Saacke talks with William Grundy

Katy Tompkins isn't new to solid cross country running and neither is the Saacke last name. Rowan Saacke is the younger sister of Tompkins grad and current University of Alabama runner Gavin Saacke. Like Gavin ended his career on a high note and an all-state runner, Rowan is beginning her high school career on the high.
She won The Woodlands' Friday Night Lights and followed that up with a win at the Katy Seven Lakes Spartan Inv. Taking the wins at two highly competitive Houston area meets helped her win MileSplit Performer of the Week polls.
The newcomer talked with us about her training, mentality, and the Tompkins team that she is excited to be a part of and that also helped her win the POW polls.
