The Woodlands senior distance runner Pablo Lesarri is now officially a middle distance threat. Over the last two seasons, he has trained with three of the top half-milers in the state (Joshua English, James Edmond, and Kyle Easton) with English and Easton both being UIL 6A state meet qualifiers and English winning the state title in 2021.

Lesarri has patiently played his part throughout his career at The Woodlands with the team being the priority. Now, it is his turn to lead and take over; he is doing pretty well at doing so. In the fall, he qualified for the cross country national championships and now he is flourishing on the track in the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m.

He has solid performances in all three distances including a TX No. 3 and four second PR with last weekend's 1:53.39 performance at the Sam Mosley Relays. Lesarri is one of only four boys in the state to run under 15:35 (5K), 9:40 (3200m), under 4:20 (1600m), and 1:53 in the 800m.
