Langham Creek senior Alex Ornelas ended the indoor season with momentum and he has found even more after the first month of outdoor track and field. Now that March is here, he heads into the month ranked number one in Texas in two events.

The University of Illinois commit ran 37.45 in his premiere event, the 300 meter hurdles and 47.27 in the 400m for two state leading marks. The fourth place finisher at the UIL 6A state meet is the top returner in the 300 meter hurdles and he is showing his form and fitness are at a high level for 2023.
