The state track and field meet is where we see the best of the best in each event from all across the state.

Sometimes, the best in an event is also good or the best in another event. We saw that several times last weekend, where some student-athletes were able to win not just one event, but two, and sometimes even three events.

For example, in the 3A girls meet, Abby Elmore (Gunter) 38, Yierra Flemings (Cameron Yoe) 34, and Taylor Nunez (Randolph) 30 were able to rack up 30 or more points each.

Check out the list below and see which student-athletes were able to win or finish high in several events as well as the amount of points they were able to score from their individual events.

1A

Girls

Taytum Goodman - Springlake Earth - Won three events (800m, 1600m, 3200m) for a total of 30 points.

Alliyah Harrison - Veribest - Won three events (TJ, 200, 400) for a total of 30 points.

Kamryn Dyck - Loop - Won two events (100m and long jump) for a total of 20 points.

Lamesa Klondike girls - Won two relays (4x100 relay and 4x200 relay) for a total of 40 points.

Boys

Christian Coker - Henrietta Midway - Won two events  (LJ, TJ) and placed fourth in 400m for a total of 24 points.

Paducah boys - Won two relays (4x100 and 4x200) for a total of 40 points.

2A

Girls

Lainey Jernigan - Goldthwaite - Won two events (100H and 300H) for a total of 20 points.

Graci Brown - Nocona - Won two events (400m and 800m) - 20 pts

Boys

Ernest Campbell - Refugio - Won two events (100m and 200m) for a total of 20 points.

Refugio boys won the 4x100 relay and 4x400 relay events for a total of 40 points.

3A

Taylor Nunez - Randolph  - Won three events (long jump, 100m, and 200m) to finish with 30 total points.

Luke McMullen - Jefferson - Won two events (100m and 200m) for a total of 20 pts.

Noah Strohman - Holliday - Won two events (1600m and 3200m) for a total of 20 points.

Daylon Washington - Lexington - Won two events (110H and 300H) for a total of 20 points.

Lucas Rizo - Crane - Won 400m and finished second in the 800m for a total of 18 points.

Hunter Vaughn - Pattonville Prairiland - Finished second in 110H and the 300H for a total of 16 points.

Girls

Carlie Weiser - Giddings - Won two events (shot put and discus) for a total of 20 points.

Royal - girls won two relay events (4x100 and 4x200) for 40 points.

Boys

Austen Diggs - La Grange - Won the 200m and finished 3rd in the 100m for a total of 16 points.

Andrew Huff - Stafford - Won the discus and finished third in the shot puts for 16 points.

5A

Boys

Adam Burlison - Grapevine - Won two events (1600m and 3200m) for a total of 20 points.

Josiyah Taylor - Denton Ryan - won the 100m and finished second in the 200m for a total of 18 points.

Kendrick Jones Jr. - Lake Belton - won the 200m and fourth in 100 - 18 pts

Ayden Granados - McAllen Memorial - Finished second in two events (1600m and 3200m) for a total of 16 points.

Girls

Alyssa Jones - Smithson Valley - Won the 200m and finished second in the long jump for a total of 18 points.

Laila Hackett (Frisco Lebanon Trail) - Won 100m and finished third in the 200m for 16 total points.

McKenzie Bailey - Georgetown - Won the 3200m and finished third in the 1600m for a total of 16 points.

Alexandra Harber - McKinney North - Won the pole vault and finished third in the 100H for a total of 16 points.

Boys

Reese Vannerson -  Houston Strake Jesuit - Won two events (1600m and 3200m) for a total of 20 points.

Marquis Johnson - Dickinson - Won the100m and finished second in the long jump for a total of 18 points.

Ashton Torns - Austin Westlake - won the long jump and finished second in 100m for 18 total points.

Girls

San Juanita Leal - Edinburg North - Won two events (1600m and 3200m) for a total of 20 points.

Lauren Lewis - Prosper - Won two events (200m and 400m) for a total of 20 points.
