It was a close race between Atascocita teammates Landon Fontenot and Jordan Parker, but most importantly, it was a fast race.

Fontenot squeaked out a slim margin of victory over Parker 48.59 to 48.64, exhibiting a complete 400m of step-to-step racing between the entire first heat.
