Six Boys 4x100 Relays Go Sub 41.0 In Region 2-6A Prelims

All season long, the boys 4x100 relay has been exemplary while grabbing the attention it rightfully deserves.

We knew going into this meet that the boys race in Region 2-6A was going to be exciting.

It had the defending UIL 6A boys state champions Klein Forest and last year's runner-ups Duncanville in the fields.

Added hype came from the Duncanville's two sub 40-second runs this season.

The hype did not disappoint!

Heat 1

In the prelims, there were six boys teams that ran under 41-seconds. That means a 40-point relay team will be in lanes two and seven based on time.

In the first heat, it was Duncanville getting the race started with their 40.35 finish. They were followed by Conroe (40.75) ad Klein Cain (40.99).

Heat 2

Heat two saw the reigning and defending state champs Klein Forest in a premium lane five. However, it was The Woodlands on their inside who had a great run by going 40.29 for the top time heading into the finals.

Klein Forest was close in tow by finishing in 40.44 for the third fastest time heading to the final, which might play in their favor having both The Woodlands and Duncanville on their outside.

Wylie East was the sixth team to advance with a sub 41-second race. They set a season best with a 40.99 to keep their season alive and a chance to make it to state.
