TAPPS Sprinters Hitting Their Stride

With several TAPPS district meets already in the books, we're officially in the final stretch of the season-and the sprint times are telling a story of serious improvement. Headlining the list is Jaylen Thomas (Fort Worth Southwest Christian), whose consistency shows with a 10.59 this year, close to eclipsing last year's 10.51-already a top-tier mark. But the biggest jumps are coming from others.

Peter Najvar (Bryan St. Joseph Catholic) has shaved a stunning 0.45 seconds off his 100m time, dropping from 11.07 to 10.62. Meanwhile, Blake Rippy (Tomball Rosehill Christian) made one of the most dramatic leaps, slashing 0.82 seconds off last year's time to now clock 10.66-a dangerous development for his competition.
