Last Saturday Morning at Old Settler's Park in Round Rock, Southlake Carroll cemented its legacy as one of the greatest dynasties in Texas high school cross-country history, capturing its seventh consecutive UIL 6A state championship and 28th overall team title. It was built on front-running dominance, trademark pack strength, and a deep-rooted culture of excellence that continues to define the Dragons' program.
With this victory, Carroll broke the tie with Humble Kingwood for the most consecutive titles in the state's largest classification, and now sits just one win away from tying Luling's UIL record of eight straight UIL 3A team titles from 2010 - 2017.
