Jordan Riggs and Jason Walker turned in an all-timer at the Texas Tech Wes Kittley Invite, running 46.37 and 46.38 in the boys 400. Riggs got out aggressively and was in control at the halfway point, splitting 21.22 at 200 and bringing it home in 25.15 for the win. Walker was a full second back at 200m (22.22) but closed the gap with a 24.16 second-half split to finish just 0.01 behind.
Both marks land #12 and #13 all-time on the U.S. high school indoor list. Walker's late move was a major close over the final 200, and the two shared a handshake and embrace at the finish after taking the two top spots on the US 400m leaderboard.
