The Texas middle school girls jumps leaderboards are taking shape, and a handful of athletes are already putting up marks that rank among the best in the country.

The high jump state lead is split among four athletes, all tied at 5-4.00. Pioneer Heritage MS eighth grader Peyton Wright opened her season at 4-8 on Feb 18 and cleared 5-4 a week later. Frisco Vandeventer Middle seventh grader Adesha Osuji opened on Mar 2 with 5-4, a PR on her first outdoor attempt of the season. Liberty Christian School-Argyle eighth grader Brooklyn Land went 5-0 on Feb 24, then improved to 5-4 for a PR at the Liberty Christian MS Warrior Relays on Mar 24. Alia McClarty took the longest route to the mark, going 5-0, then 5-2, then 4-8, before clearing 5-4 for a PR at the Frisco ISD Zone 2 Championships on Mar 11. All four are among the top high jump marks in the country at the middle school level.
