Chloe Becker Is The Veribest In The UIL 1A Girls' 100m

The UIL 1A girls' 100m final was a near repeat of the 2025 edition, with the top four finishers from last year all finishing in the top four again in 2026. The only difference was a big one with Veribest junior Chloe Becker taking the top prize with a new meet record time of 12.20.

After the gun fired, it was Whitharral's Kalyn Bates who was first out of the blocks, but then defending champion Kamryn Dyck (Loop) hit her top gear, and it looked like she would take home another victory. Becker had other ideas as she hit her top speed later and held it for longer to go by Dyck and the rest of the field.
