BOYS
Erickson ran 9:07.35 to place second in the UIL 4A 3200m at the state championships, a PR that ranks him 17th in Texas across all grades. His season reflects a runner who saved his best for last: he opened at 9:38.76 in early March, worked down to 9:22.55 to win UIL 4A Area 03 & 04 on Apr. 16, then won UIL 4A Region I in 9:15.99 before his state PR. He also placed second in the 4A 1600m at the same meet in 4:16.55, which ranks 34th in Texas across all grades. His 2025 outdoor best in the 3200m was 9:44.83.
At the UIL State Championships, Lambert ran 14.50 to place third in the 3A 110m hurdles, a PR that ranks him 113th in Texas across all grades. He opened the season at 15.62, ran 15.42 at the Toast of the Coast Relays on Mar. 21, and steadily improved through district and area before winning UIL 3A Region IV. Lambert is one of the more versatile underclassmen in the state - he has also gone 6-4 in the high jump, 21-10 in the long jump, and run a 39.09 300H this season.
GIRLS
Randel ran 14.13w to place fifth in the UIL 4A 100m hurdles at the state championships. She opened the season at 15.51 and had been building steadily on the approach to state: 15.94 in early March, 14.57w at the TSU Relays HS Division, 14.92 at the Prairie View A&M Relays, and 14.47 to win UIL 4A Area 19 & 20 on Apr. 17 before placing second at UIL 4A Region III in 14.68. She also ran 44.89 in the 300H to rank 94th in Texas across all grades.
Lohmann cleared 11-6 to place sixth in the UIL 5A pole vault at the state championships, a PR that ranks her 51st in Texas across all grades. Her season was one of patient improvement: she opened at 10-2 in February and cleared 10-6 at five separate meets through early April before posting 10-9 at UIL 5A Area 09 & 10 then 11-3 at UIL 5A Region II. Her 2025 outdoor best was 9-6, making her current PR a whopping two-foot improvement year over year.
