Both the Sam Houston State men\'s and women\'s teams posted school record point totals to equal or better their best indoor finishes as both Bearkats squads posted runner-up team finishes in the 27th annual Southland Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships Saturday
HOUSTON - Texas State sophomore Katya Kostetskaya won the women\'s 400 meters for the second straight year and anchored the Bobcat 4 x 400 meter relay team which shattered the meet record during the second day of the Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship Saturday.
The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjack indoor track and field team recorded three All-Southland Conference honors Saturday to outlast Sam Houston State, 105.33-104, for the 2006 SLC Indoor Championship at Yeoman Fieldhouse in Houston, Texas. The Ladyjacks have now won back-to-back indoor titles. The Lumberjacks recorded one individual title and three all-conference honors Saturday but finished third overall behind eventual champion Texas-San Antonio, 111-103.
HOUSTON, Texas - UTA junior Jared Connaughton set a meet record in the 200 meters with a winning time of 21.57 at the Southland Conference Indoor Track Championships here Saturday.
