Registration

Please email me or fax your original signed varsity entry forms. https://www.uiltexas.org/files/athletics/cc_entry_form.pdf

In addition, you will need to register All runners (JH, JV, V) on TxMileSplit. This all needs to be completed by 10/12/19 as per UIL (5 days prior to the meet.)

Please make sure that you have registered all eligible athletes.

Fees:

There are no fees for the district meet.

Coaches Meeting:

9:45am at the Finish Line.

Please let us know as this time if you will be needing to sub one of your alternates for a varsity runner so that we can make that change.

Each team needs to provide one volunteer coach to help serve as a course marshal. At this time, volunteers will be assigned their position for the duration of the races.

Timing:

Each athlete will have a racing bib. As they enter the finish chute, we will have someone keeping time with our Sprint 8 and they will have their bib scanned for placing purposes at the end of the finish chute. We will also have someone writing down the athlete numbers as they are scanned as a backup.

Race Schedule:

11:00 Varsity Girls

11:30 Varsity Boys

12:05 JV Girls

12:35 JV Boys

HS Awards

Results:

Results will be announced during the awards. They will also be posted on TxMileSplit.

Regional Qualifiers:

The top 10 individuals AND the Top 3 teams in the Varsity Divisions will qualify for the Regional Championships that will be held on Monday, October 28th at Mae Simmons in Lubbock. After the conclusion of the meet, I will email you a list of qualifiers to look over before it is sent in.

Additional Notes:

Please instruct your athletes to stay off the course once the races have begun.

Please instruct spectators not to cross or crowd the finish line so that they do not impede a runner.

There will be port-a-potties.

On the course maps, please let your kids know which color of flag goes with their course. Red = 2 mile, Blue = 5K. The designated color of flag will be on the runners LEFT through the duration of the course.

We will have a trainer on site during the meet. He will be located under the medal pavilion.

Dan Cook will be the official starter and meet referee. His decisions are final.

We don't anticipated rattlesnakes but just in case, please always be cautious!
