Faith West Hills "Time Trials" 2020

Katy, TX

Meet Information

FWA is hosting 2-3 small "time trials" this year.

This is an informal "time trial". Coaches will time their own runners and post them on athletic.net. Our goal is to provide enough competition to prepare them for their district races. YOU MUST GO TO FWA FOR BATHROOM USE. Then you can park at Faith West and walk over to the park or park at the park (limited space).

Premise map and course map is attached.

Site & parking map here!

Course Map 3200/5000

Faith West Academy: 2225 Porter Road, Katy, TX 77493

Race Address: 2500 Porter Rd, Katy, TX 77493, across the street from Faith West!

The park I use is granting special permission to use the park provided it is a very small "time trial". We ask that parents bring their runners 1 hour before expected start. When runners complete the race, they will leave the premises.

A map will be posted at the race; however, we ask that all runners print and bring their own map (or pull color map up on phone). Coaches will be responsible for their runners and parents and spectators. *All CDC and Governor mandates and guidelines will be followed. Below is a *COVID section to review. I may also send out extra safety guidelines that FWA would like us to follow, 1 week before the race.

Please register your runners, so I will know how many are in each race.

Race Starts:

8:00 am All High School Boys, 5000 m

8:30 am All High School Girls, 3200 m

8:35 am All Junior High Boys, 3200 m

8:40 am All Junior High Girls, 3200 m

We are offering our course free and keeping our expenses to a minimum. Like paint and stakes used to mark our course. No bathroom, police expenses, medals, etc.

Coaches get creative ... offer your athletes a medal if they place in the top 3 spots or set goals/rewards!

*FWA COVID POLICY

We will enforce and ask each coach to enforce the follow ...

Executive Order GA-29

Mask Wearing ... only exception ... when a congregating group maintains at least 6 feet of social distancing.

If you see a group of people closer than 6' apart, they should be wearing a mask outside. We cannot determine family members, so let us all spread out for the 1.5 hours you are at our premises. THANKS
