FEAST Home School Girls Dominate, Boerne Champion Boys Victorious Oct 25, 2009

After its 99 point win last week at the Seguin Matador Invitational, South Bubble Team FEAST Home School returned to Seguin, TX and reeled off another powerful performance, this time at TLU’s High School Invite.  The fleet FEAST girls went one through four and six for a near perfect score of 16 in the fourteen team field.  Del Rio was second with 80 and Cibolo Steele third with 115.   Emily Dunn followed her narrow victory last week over twin sister Janessa with a strong 11:48 run on the 3224 meter course in the cool calm conditions on TLU’s campus.  Janessa grabbed second in 11:58, followed closely by teammates Abigail Tankersley in 11:59 and freshman Hannah Bowden in 12:09.  Del Rio’s Candida Chairez broke up the perfect run with a 12:16 for fifth.   Boerne Champion, US #4 South #2, ran only two of their top seven boys, but still came away with a victory (48) by placing three in the top five.  Del Rio showed fine pre-district form with a 68 point second place team effort while New Braunfels claimed third with 88 in the seventeen team field.   Ethan Doherty of Boerne Champion ran smoothly over the 5044 meter grass course to victory in 16:08 over teammate Josh Hernandez (16:13). Ryan Saam of San Antonio Reagan ran well again this week for third in 16:16.
