Meet Information
Dear Cross-Country Coaches,
Welcome to the 2021 Cathedral/Loretto Cross Country Invitational. This year's meet will be held on September 11, 2021, at Veterans Park located at 5301 Salem Drive, El Paso, Texas. Registration for the meet will be through tx.milesplit.com. Maximum of 10 entries for varsity and unlimited entries for open and freshman divisions will be allowed. Please ensure all entries are submitted by Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 7:00 pm.
Coaches Meeting/Hospitality: 7:30 am
Race Time: 8:00 am
Order of Events: (8:00 am start with rolling schedule thereafter)
Varsity Boys
Varsity Girls
Open Boys/9th Boys (Combined)
Open Girls/9th (Combined)
Starting/Finish Line:
Have runners report to the starting line in a timely manner and keep athletes away from the finish line area as chipped race bibs will be utilized.
Water:
Water will not be available for athletes before the race. It will only be available for runners in
the recovery area after they finish racing. Please tell your athletes to bring their own water bottle
for pre-race hydration.
Awards:
Trophies - First place teams in all divisions.
Medals - Top ten finishers in each division.
Parents/Spectators/Coaches/Athletes:
Spectators will be allowed, but ensure they keep clear of the course. Masks will not be required but be mindful of each other's space. There are no team assigned areas; however, distance team camps from each other. Please help keep your team areas clean. Trash bags will be available if needed.
Buses:
Please inform bus drivers not to drop off, pickup, or park on Salem Drive.
