Region I-5A is loaded. We have 6 girls that has dipped under 11 already this year. This one is going to be a good one. Belbina has a 3-2 advantage against Reed this year including a big 10:33 at Texas Relays. Reed did defeat Belbina last week in the Area Meet. Endsley has ran fast this year running an impressive 10:37 at Texas Relays defeating Reed but losing to Belbina in their only head to head battle. I can't forget about Archer who ran a 10:39 at Texas Relays just behind the girls mentioned above. Archer is 2-0 vs Reed in the 3200m this year beating her at Texas Relays and Coppell. I have to mention Jacobson and Hoyos who are both Sub 11 runners this year.

Madi McLellan is looking really sharp in the last couple of weeks. She has been dropping some impressive times in both 3200m and 1600m. She is the favorite to win this race. She has head to head victories over Abby Guidry and Kara Zuspans her two closest competitors. A dark horse to look for is Melanie Enriquez from Round Rock Stony Point. She has a short season because of playing soccer and she is rounding into shape nicely. My pics are Madi McLellan and Abby Guidry to get 1-2 and advance to the State Meet in Austin .

Julia Heymach is the girl to beat in this race. She had a tremendous cross country season and comes in with that fastest time with a 10:39 2 Mile done during the indoor season and she ran a 10:47 in the 3200m. She is the only girl in this region to break 11. Khayla Patel is one of the favorites also. She has beaten a lot fo the girls in this region already with the exceptoin of Heymach. She ran a pr of 11:00 at the Area Meet .

The rivalry between Devin Clark and Paige Hofstad continues. Paige bet Devin at Texas Relays in the 3200m but Devin has won the last 2 meetings at Districts and Area. This should be a great race. Alex Cruz went 10:59 in her Area meet so she should be a factor also .
