Breakdown: Jaevin Reed had a breakout race in the prelims on Friday night, and proved it was no fluke by returning and taking the win in the finals on Saturday in a very impressive 24.49. Reed now sits at US #2 only .09s behind All-Star NY sprinter Zola Golden. Samatha Gonzalez - 24.59, Jarra Owens - 24.88, and Daja Gordon - 25.14 all had excellent times in the prelims, but couldn't reproduce those efforts in the finals. Though on the positive side, they now sit at US #5/7/10. Showcasing the depth of Texas sprints. Unfortunately the finals saw a number of DQ's which impacted the final places. | |||||
