Marcus senior Payton Brown announced mid day Wednesday on twitter that she has verbally committed to run for the University of Arkansas. Brown owns personal best times of 5:09 1600m, 10:56 3200m, and 18:16 5k. Brown will join her sister Sydney on the Arkansas squad. The senior is ranked Texas Saucony Flo50 No. 11 so far this year. Last fall at the state meet Brown placed 11th to help Marcus place 2nd in class 6A. She then went on to place 23rd at the Nike South Regional helping her team place 2nd and secure a bid to NXN.
