The Woodlands has a long tradition of making it to NXN. They've made it to Portland seven out of the 11 years the race has been run. This year was the first year the Woodlands squad has won NXN South since 2008. Before that they won it in 2007. This year the team was led by senior Daniel Golden who also led them to their state meet victory earlier this month. The team has gone undefeated all year and will look to continue that streak at NXN. The teams highest finish at NXN came in 2009 when they finished 3rd.
