5A State Preview: Can The Buffs Repeat History?

Boys Team Title

Finishing an unprecedented 1-2 in the 200m, Shamon and Gerald embrace in what was a major moment for the FB Marshall duo. Knowing they would stand on top of the podium together and after falling short two years in a row, had essentially locked up the 5A boys team title. The heavy favorite to win the boys 5A crown will be the defending state champions, Fort Bend Marshall. They come into the meet bringing in all three relays. They are leading the 5A division in both the 4x100 and the 4x200 meter relay. They also get run support in the 200 with Junior Shamon Ehiemua, who comes in with the fastest time in conference 5A at 20.64. Rounding the Buffaloes run is Senior, John Isom, who will be running the 400. Isom ran a 47.53 earlier this year and comes into the state final posting the second fastest time behind Junior, Champion Allison (Don't you just love that 1 st name) from Richmond George Ranch. Look for FB Marshall to repeat as state champions.
