TTFCA Announces Post-Season Awards!

2016 TTFCA Male High School Athletes of the Year


Male Track Athlete of the Year -- Shamon Ehiemua -- Fort Bend Marshall
Ehiemua led Fort Bend Marshall to a repeat state championship. In addition to winning the 200 at the UIL State Meet in a time of 20.62 (#1 in Texas), Ehiemua also led Fort Bend Marshall's 4x1 and 4x2 relays. The 4x1 ran a nation-leading 40.13 and the 4x2 ran a nation-leading 1:24.07. At the Great Southwest, Ehiemua lowered his 200 time to 20.56, #4 in the U.S.



Male Field Event Athlete of the Year -- Adrian Piperi -- The Woodlands
At the 2 nd Annual Meet of Champions, Piperi's 71-11 shot put broke Michael Carter's state of Texas Junior Class record. At the UIL State Meet, he captured his second- consecutive shot put title. The Woodland's Junior joined the 70-200 Club in 2016, with personal bests of 71-11 and 204-03. He ended the 2016 season ranked 2nd nationally in the shot and 4 the nationally in the discus.



Private School Male Athlete of the Year -- Luke Littlefield -- Central Texas Christian
Littlefield, a Baylor signee from Central Texas Christian, is an outstanding multi- event athlete. He won the Texas' Greatest Athlete Boy's Decathlon competition with 6,619 points. At the 2016 TAPPS State Meet, he captured 3A gold in the pole vault (15-7), high jump (6-2) and the 110h (14.67). He finished 3 rd in the 100 meters at 10.96.
