McKinney North High School
In 2016, Coach Richards of McKinney North High School led her squad to a dominating 74 point UIL 5A State team title. This season, the McKinney North Girls had another strong season, ending it with a strong 98 point team win at the UIL State Meet for the repeat. The North Girls had a strong mix of events ranging from distance runners to strong relays.
Winning a title is hard and it's said that repeating is even harder. Richards directed her team to it's second consecutive title despite a tough challenge from their 5A competitors.They even scored a UIL 5A girls record in points scored.
