Hendrix has been a top UIL 5A distance runner ever since his freshman year. That hasn't stopped his progression as he continues to get better with each year. That leads us to this senior season as he he will make a run for the top of the 5A classification. That will be no easy task as 5A is loaded with unbelievable talent. However, in cross, Hendrix has improved his state meet finishes from 51st, to 16th, to 5th.
He capped off another impressive track season with a fifth place finish in the 1600m and a ninth place finish in the 3200m at the UIL 5A track meet.
Hendrix isn't just running for himself as he will have motivation to try to help lead his Wakeland squad back to the state meet. He checks in with a 15:25.28 PR from last year. Look for him to blow that out of the water this season.
