Langham Creek senior Jaquaize Pettaway was a big time football recruit and spent much of the last two years perfecting his craft on the football field. However, before the University of Oklahoma football signee ships off to Norman, he is finishing his high school career off in the track and field. 

Pettaway has been excelling in the 200m and helping Langham Creek's relays steadily improve all season long. He entered the weekend with a 20.80 SB, but when it was all said and done, he came away with a new PR of 20.69. The weekend was a big workload for Pettaway as he competed in the long jump (22-8.5) the 100m (10.48), and ran a leg on the 4x200 relay (1:26.6) all prior to his 200m performance.

Although big time college football awaits, Pettaway could be punching his way to the UIL 6A Track And Field State Championships before heading off to the NCAA.
