UIL 3A Boys 100 Meter Hurdles

In a stacked race of talented athletes, last year's state champion Daylon Washington raised his fist as he crossed the finish line with a time of 14.26. However, he had to work for it all the way through. The Lexington senior edged out junior Hunter Vaughn of Pattonville Prairiland by just .03 seconds. The race began with field of three athletes that separated from the rest of the competitiors. Following right behind Vaughn and Washington was Universal City Randolph's Parker Cabra with a time of 14.45.

UIL 3A Boys 300 Meter Hurdles

Just moments after taking the top spots in the 110-meter hurdles, Lexington's Daylon Washington and Pattonville Prairiland's Hunter Vaughn went toe-to-toe in the 300-meter hurdles. Washington took the early lead, clearing the first hurdle ahead of the rest of the field. Despite the late comeback effort from Vaughn, Washington claimed himself as the champion with a winning time of 37.38. Coming in with the fastest qualifying time in regionals, Kaleem Howard of Jacksboro rounded out the final podium spot with a time of 38.78.
