Texas girls and boys are top heavy in the jump events.

Not only are the athletes with performances at the top of the heap good, but there is depth in the quality of the event in the state. The amount of elite marks continue to grow by the meet.

Coming up this weekend is the Texas Relays. Many of the top jumpers in Texas as well as several of the top national jumpers will square off on the same runway. This opportunity will launch us into the next portion of the season with a lot to look forward to.

Johnny Washington and Monica Washington are University of Texas alumni. They have continue to jumpers from the youth age groups to the high school level as well as collegiate athletes. Collectively, they have a wealth of knowledge of the sport along with insight on the current top state and national level athletes on the high school level.
