Vogt leaves legacy of success

Westside lost one of its last original coaches when Bill Vogt recently announced his retirement.

Vogt had served as the Wolves' boys cross country and track and field coach since the school opened its doors during the 2000-01 school year. He also coached girls cross country last season.

"I've enjoyed coaching, but it's time for a change," said the 55-year-old Vogt, who plans to focus his energies on traveling and remodeling his home over the next few months
