Senior All-American Joe Thorne (Chamblee, Ga.) and the University of Texas cross country team are headed to Oregon next weekend for two meets in an area known for great distance running. The Longhorns compete in their first meet of the 2006 season on Friday, Sept. 29 at the Bill Dillenger Invitational in Eugene, and on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Willamette Invitational in Corvallis.
