7. Madie Boreman (FR) goes 4:48 at State
This was a great race. Let me set it up properly. Madie Boreman (FR) from Leader Rouse won the cross country championship in the fall in an upset. She qualified for the state meet in both the 3200 and 1600. The 3200 was held earlier and it took a record breaking performance by Jessica Prickett to win. Arin Rice had won the 800m earlier in the day with an impressive 2:12. It was one of those unique races where 3 distance state champs went head to head. All 3 girls ran great races.
