Amongst the many TX athletes, Julia Heymach has made the decision to travel north to enter the 2-mile race. It should be a fantastic experience for the sophomore to race against competition of that caliber after having such a solid start to her outdoor season. While she may not be peaking like the other girls in that race who are coming off their respective indoor state meets, Heymach has shown to be in good form and should be right in the mix!
Last year, Heymach competed in the Emerging Elite 1-Mile & 2-Mile race. She won the 2Mile in an Emerging Elite 2-Mile meet record 10:39.40 over a fellow Texan in a tight battle to the finish.
