We aren't able to get race videos from the Texas Relays, but don't worry, we will have you covered all weekend with tons of photos/interviews and the only place bringing you comprehensive updates of all the HS action! Not being able to live stream the races, we are going to try a new method to bring you live video of recaps & interviews.
Texas Relays will kickstart the first meet I'll be using the Meerkat app. It allows Live Streaming through your iPhone or iPad.
Simply download the free Meerkat app from the App Store, and follow @TxMileSplit on twitter. When the live stream starts, the link will automatically appear on the @TxMileSplit twitter feed, and you can also follow @TxMileSplit directly in Meerkat. Simply click the link in the twitter feed, which will open up a window where you will click "Open in Meerkat": shown in the picture below.
It allows you to view the FREE LIVE stream in real time. I will be bringing you live interviews with some of the best athletes & coaches in the country, as well as meet updates and check ins all weekend long! While watching the stream you can also comment on it LIVE! Meaning if we are interview athletes, YOU can send in a question and watch us ask the athletes the questions LIVE! How cool is that!!!
The goal is to bring the best coverage as possible to track in Texas. Recognize all the coaches & athletes for their hard work, and have fun while doing it. This is an experiment to test out some new technology and give you a look at what's going on LIVE! I think it can be a really fun addition to our track coverage, especially at a meet like Texas Relays. I hope you tune in, and appreciate any feedback on this new venture!
