A very worthy Performance of the Week has been awarded to Jay Bradford. Devin Clark came in a close 2nd, but the senior standout from Splendora has been voted the most impressive from Texas Relays.
Summarizing his work in Austin this past weekend, Bradford competed in virtually every sprint&relay. A busy 2 days that saw him take 1st in the D1 100m and win the overall championship in the LJ. On top of that he competed in the triple jump. Then anchored his team's 4x200m&4x400m relays.
While he didn't post the fastest 100m time of the weekend, and neither did the Splendora relays, an athlete with that versatility and strength to compete at a high level under a heavy workload is well deserving of the Performance of the Week. He will be a part of the Aggies football team next year, and clearly they will able to utilize his diverse skill set in the track season.
