Record Breaker: Marks That Fell At UIL State

Oscar Mathis: The senior from Paducah leaves HS by leaving his mark on the state meet. Crushing the previous mark of 11.33 with his 10.88.

Dianna Kirven: it was a busy meet for the Coolidge athlete. She earned multiple titles and multiple records. The 200m her final event, and she just edges out the old record by running 26.19. She also set the long jump 1A record with her jump of 17-02.50.

Jesse Roberts: It was his own record, but he breaks it again anyway. His new time of 4:31.53 is not safe. Roberts is just a junior and will look set the record again next year under 4:30. Devitt Smetana came 2nd in this race also breaking last year's record in 4:33.

It was a successful meet for the Burton relay squad! They set both sprint relay records by running 50.08 in the 4x100m. Then coming back to win the 4x200m in 1:46.66.

Pulling off the EXACT same feat as the Burton girls, Water Valley also set two relay records. The boys started their day with a 43.13 in the 4x100m, and then came back to dominate the 4x200m in 1:30.86.

Completing the 2015 sweep of the 1A girls relay titles, North Zulch ran a 4:13.63 to end the 1A meet and put their name in the record books.

The only boys 1A field event to go down would be at the high jump where Latham Garnsey cleared 6'06".
