What was your most memorable race/moment?

-My 100 meter dash at district my senior year.

Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?

-I would consider myself my biggest competition.

What was your greatest accomplishment?

-My greatest accomplishment was when I finally broke 12 seconds in the 100 meter dash.

If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?

-I would change my work ethic and work/practice a lot harder then I did.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?

-Stepping up as a leader because most of the team was either injured or not Eligible to run

What will you miss the most?

-Going to track meets and knowing a lot of people from different schools and interacting with them.

What advice you would give to younger athletes?

-Don’t expect to get anything, work for what you want.


What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?

-He encourages me to follow my heart and do what I want to do and nobody else. He always leads me in the right direction.

What are your college plans?

-I will be attending UTA running track as a sprinter and majoring in sports management.

Who would you like to say thank you to?

-My high school coaches Kendrick Pope and Kevin Ellison. Also my summer track coach Kerry Sloan.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?

-Track has really changed my life. I never thought I would enjoy running as much as I do now.

What was the funniest thing that happened during your running career?

-My junior year at area I was doing a run through and fell face first into the sand. I had sand EVERYWHERE !!
