Never having to push himself to the max this season, he just put in the effort to win races. We saw a glimpse of what he can do when he anchored the Kingwood 4x8 to a US #1 back at Victor Lopez in 1:50. |

| 2. Jaqwae Ellison - 1:52.87 - Georgetown Ellison peaked perfectly at the end of his season.Dropping his times to improve upon his runner up spot in 2014 to win the 5A 800m Gold Medal in 1:53. Not done there, Ellison came back a week later through bad weather at Baylor to win the Meet of Champs in a season best 1:52.87. |

| 3. Michael Johnson - 1:53.49 - San Elizario After a bronze and silver medal the past two years, Johnson completes his collection with a 800m gold to cap off his season. He has consistently been running 1:53-1:54 all season. |

| 4. Luca Chatham - 1:53.55 - Dallas Wilson He knows how to execute at big meets, Chatham finishing now worse than 3rd in 2015. He proved to have a lethal kick, running down a lot of athletes on his way to the state meet. He ended his HS career strong with 3 silvers...at Region, State, and Meet of Champs. |

| 5. Reagan Olguin - 1:53.12 - Edinburg Vela Olguin is part of the Edinburg Vela squad that was posting fast 4x8s early on in the season. He kept his form all season to win Region, then medal at State & the Meet of Champs. |
