8 Estrada, Daniel 98 Team Usa 22.69 -1.8Jace Comick ran 21.83 to advance to the final, which was thrown off when it was moved up almost half an hour at the last minute. Top seed Lyles nearly missing the race. Improving on his 5th fastest time in the prelims, Comick finished 4th in the 200m final.
Unfortunately things didn't workout as planned for the rising sprint star. After a crazy unorganized 1st day which saw a lot of races moved and mis-communicaiton from meet staff, the boys 100m was prelim was cancelled...after the athletes were all out to the start line. Shamon took time afterwards to chat and was feeling very confident about the 200m finals later.
He would unfortunately go down in the 200m prelim with what may be a slight tear in the hamstring. It meant his day was done, and likely the rest of his summer track season. He was still positive the next day while supporting teammate John Isom in the 400m, and Ehiemua is just looking forward to getting back to the grind with the Buffs in 2016.
