David Strome (Colleyville Heritage - 2016)
Through out all of the regular and championship season Strome placed top 3 or better. He had victories at the Southlake Carroll Invitational, Boswell Pioneer Trail Run VI, Nike South Invitational, and UIL 6A - District 7 meets. His placed third at both the Marcus I, and Region 1 meets. He wrapped up the championship season with a 3rd place in finish at State, only behind Daniel Golden by :07 seconds. In the post season Strome was shooting for a top 10 finish at Foot Locker South, which would have earned him the opportunity to run Foot Locker in San Diego. Unfortunately he was caught up in a major pile up which forced him into last place (324 runners total) within the first 800m. Despite the fall Strome got up and ran his way to a top 50 finish placing 42nd.
