Honorable Mentions
Some runners who we feel should be mentioned as honorable mentions to the All-State team are:
Daniel Viegra (Pflugerville Henderickson - 2017)
Before he got injured the junior had only two losses all year. One was at McNeil to Sam Worley, the other to teammate Justin Botello by only tenths of a second at their district meet. (They crossed the line practically hand in hand)
Paige Hofstand (New Braunfels - 2016)
Hofstand was undefeated all year until she was injured. She would have been a top Foot Locker and NXN returner if she were healthy enough to race this post season.
