Samiyah Samuels is going to be a force to be reckoned with this year. The Cy-Springs senior has already sky rocketed on to the national record boards indoor with her U.S. #2 mark of 20-0.25 which she jumped to win the Carl Lewis indoor classic. That mark was only slightly off her best 2015 outdoor PR of 20-6.5. She jumped that mark to take 2nd at the USATF Junior National Outdoor T&F Championships last spring. She is the returning state champion and holds an all-conditions long jump PR of 20-7.75 (+2.5). The University of Houston commit also finished 3rd last year in the 100m dash at state, running her all conditions PR of 11.57 (+3.0). Look for her to tear it up agin this year in both events.
