Monday Minute Write Up
What's up everyone we're back with the Monday Minute! Area week flew by lots of meets in only a two to three-day span. We tried to be at as many of them as we could bringing you the best coverage possible! But here we go as always diving right in!

So we were at several different Area Meets with video and pictures. I was up in Dallas again this time at the District 13-14 5A and 9-10 6A Area Meet on Thursday. I couldn't pass up paying District 13-14 5A a visit after the times they dropped at districts. This week they were flying around the track again! The relays stuck out the most! On the guys side, Lancaster, Mansfield Timberview, Mansfield Legacy and Waxahachie all ran fast!

In the 4x100 Legacy went 41 seconds flat to the win. In the 4x2 Waxahachie ran 1:25.93 only one, one-hundredth off their season's best U.S. #16 PR to take the win. The 4x4 was the ultimate showdown, Lancaster and Mansfield Timberview battled it out to run 3:13.39 and     3:13.93 for U.S. #5 and 9!

In the distance races, Reed Brown dropped a new TX#1 in the 3200m running 9:01.43 . Now he has both TX#1's in the 3200m and 1600m

The girls races were fast in Dallas as well. DeSoto girls continued to tear it up at the District 7-8 area meet. They won all the relays dropping a 45 low in the 4x100, a 1:36.78 in the 4x2 and a 3:47.07 in the 4x4.

Over in Houston, we caught the District 19-20 5A & 6A Area Meet. There were tons of close finishes and exciting races there including the girls 4x400m. Houston Lamar, Katy, and Houston Bellaire battled down to the final 100m stretch to finishing only hundreds of seconds apart!

Other new TX number one marks came from, Bryce Hoppel in the 800m, Bryce Douglas in the 110mH, Kira White in the 100, Alexis Duncan in the 300mH, and Ellyana Long in the high jump.

We also can't forget about Madie Boreman she didn't run a TX number one but punched her ticket to the adidas Dream Mile this weekend at the Kansas relays. The Leander Rouse senior dominated the 1600m running 4:52.83. This was only a day after running 5:04.33 to win her Area Meet.

That's all we've got this week be sure to check out the links below, there's tons of great stuff we can't cover all in the Monday Minute. And stay locked on the site as we will be announcing our Regional coverage early tomorrow morning!
