1. What was your most memorable race/moment?
My most memorable race/moment had to be my 100m finals at Texas Relays. I was just so nervous and shook for some reason, but it all worked out how it was supposed to be.
2. Who would you consider your biggest competition over your four years?
My biggest competition over the last 4 years definitely was my boy Devin Duvernay. Even though he didn't run this season because of an injury, he is definitely a guy who had me nervous each and every time we raced. Didn't know what the outcome was gone be.
3. What was your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment had to be winning a state championship my last and final year of high school. People don't understand how hard work takes you a long way. Me & my team are witnesses of that.
4. If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
If I could do it all over I would definitely have took care of my body the first few years of my high school track career . Taking care of your body takes you a long way & prevent serious injuries.
5. What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
The most difficult obstacle I had to overcome throughout the years were hamstring injuries and they'll come at times were my team needed me. I had to find a way to overcome my depression and get back on track. As a leader, I had to do it quick and fast but at the same time make sure I'm doing it the right way.
6. What will you miss the most?
What I will miss the most is definitely my team. Most of the people on my team I've been running with ever since I've been little. The support system we had for each other was just great.
7. What advice would you give to younger athletes?
To younger athletes!!! It's hard being a student-athlete but it's worth it. You don't get a pass just because you play sports! You have to go out there and work for it!!! First and foremost stay on top of your studies and take good care of your body!! It'll all work out the way it's supposed to be.
8. What influence has your coach had with respect to your performance and overall life goals?
All of my coaches have played a key roll in my track career and my future track career. I have learned so much from them and they have pushed me to the young man I am today. I love them and I wish them the best! I will truly miss them.
9. What are your college plans?
I will be running track at a Big 12 school! You will see in the next couple of days & I will like to major in Kinesiology or criminal justice .
10. Who would you like to say 'thank you' to?
It so many people I would like to thank but first and foremost I have to thank my mom! She is the best! She continues to work her butt off for what I need and she continues to set great examples for me. The other people I have to thank are my coaches, friends, and other family members.
11. Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I would like to add this..... THANK YOU MILESPLIT!!!! For the past couple of years, you guys have been the best! You aren't just people that come out and stream live events or post results. You guys actually have a great connection with us. You guys know what's going on in our everyday track life's and you guys are truly concerned if something's not going the way it's supposed to be and that's all love man! We truly appreciate you guys & I wish nothing but the best for all you guys future.
12. What was the funniest thing that happened during your track career?
Lol, I would have to say that the most funniest moment of my whole track career is what Kira did at regionals before the gun went off for the 4x1!! Lol I can't say what she did,but just know it's funny!
