This Cross Country Season, we will bring you a Question and Answer session with 6 question AKA the TX MileSplit Pick Six. This week, we feature Conroe Oak Ridge's Theo Goff. Goff is The Woodlands Friday Night Lights 2016 Boys Varsity A Race Champion.
1. TX MileSplit - How did it feel to lead most of the race in front of that crowd, at The Woodlands Friday Night Lights meet last Friday?
Theo - The crowd at the Friday Night Lights meet was definitely a huge factor in my performance because there is nothing more embarrassing than someone taking off for the first 800, then dying off. It felt amazing to hear so many people cheering for me and my school. I wasn't going to let anyone down.
2. TX MileSplit - What got you involved with running vs. other sports or leisure events?
Theo - I chose running over the other sports because, in my mind, running is the purest essence of a sport....have you ever heard anyone say they were going to go play cross country or that they have a cross country game tonight??? Exactly!
3. TX MileSplit - How is your recruitment looking? What are your favorite schools? What are you looking for in your college destination?
Theo - Honestly, I am looking at a lot of big schools in the state of Texas. Right now, my top schools are UT, A&M, SFA, and a few others. The thing that I look for in a school is whether the school has a great team and coach that will push me to becoming one of the greats.
4. TX MileSplit - You mentioned that your NXN experience changed you and your mentality as an athlete. How and in what ways?
Theo - Running on the national level really put me in my place. It was a very humbling experience! It showed me that no matter how good you are in your school, district, or state that there will always be great competition on the national level.
5. TX MileSplit - How special was last year with your individual and team success?
Theo - Last year, was the first year that Oak Ridge XC ever competed at the state meet and it was such a great feeling to know that I competed with my 6 brothers, right next to me. I love those guys and I would race my heart out for them any day.
6. TX MileSplit - What are you looking for out of your senior year and senior XC and track seasons?
Theo - Going into my senior year, I am expecting to run at least 15:00 for 5K and sub 9:00 for the 3200. However, I am mostly looking forward to all of the great memories that are gathered along the way with my team.

Bonus 1: Dallas Cowboys or Houston Texans
Theo - I think most of the fans in the southern part of Texas would choose the Houston Texans and the fans up north would choose that team that loses every game.
Bonus 2: Instagram or Twitter
Theo - MileSplit fans definitely prefer twitter because it is more up to date and it's just a better layout.
Bonus 3: Live in Antarctica or at the Equator
Theo - Definitely the Equator because you can't run with your shirt off if it's 20 degrees below zero.
Bonus 4: Beyonce' or Taylor Swift
Theo - It all depends on if the person is going through a breakup or not.
Bonus 5:
Friday track/XC meets or Saturday track/XC meets
Theo - Definitely Friday meets, because if you follow TX MileSplit you obviously are cool enough to have things to do and places to be on Saturdays.
