DESTINY FAIRLEY
The next star who will be very busy at state is 3A star DESTINY FAIRLEY. FAIRLEY of Jarrell is a Mrs. Do It All. She qualified for state in three individual events and a relay. The tricky thing is, she didn't compete in the triple jump, an event she qualified for state for the past three years. Instead, she won the regionals in the long jump and the 200m getting a new PR in the latter with a 24.99.
Fairley has also been to the state meet every year since she was a freshman in the 400m. She placed third as a freshman, second as a sophomore, and last season she won it all. She earned the opportunity to defend her title this season by finishing second at regionals.
Fairley also ran the anchor leg on Jarrell's 4x400 and will look to get double team points at state with a top finish.
