Vernon Turner Leads the nation in the high jump with his 7-6 PR
Vernon Turner of Oklahoma's Yukon High School will compete at the 42nd Great Southwest Classic. Turner is the 3-time Oklahoma 5-6A high jump champion. The U.S. #1 ranked high jumper will take on a couple of other 7 foot high jumpers at the Great Southwest.
Turner who has an astounding PR of 7-6 on the season, has not lost in 2 1/2 years. Having completed his Oklahoma season, he looks to take on the best the nation has to offer.
The Great Southwest Classic is next weekend and we're super excited because you can catch all the action LIVE on MileSplit. Some of the best athletes in the south will be heading to the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 1-3, 2017, to prove who's the best in the south.
