First legs on the girls 4x100 relay take the walk to the starting line at the 2017 UIL 5A state meet
The McKinney North girls will be looking to make 2018 three's company. Another team state title would make their third consecutive UIL 5A state title. They have plenty of pieces coming back making them the favorites for the top spot.
Mansfield Lake Ridge is a very talented team and they gave McKinney North a very good challenge for the title last year. Like North, Lake Ridge returns many key pieces and will be able to give them a good push for that top spot again.
Another year in 5A means another year looking out for Lancaster. They lost a couple outstanding athletes to graduation and a key transfer out with the loss of Jayla Hollis, but they are still Lancaster and are well coached.
